Create IT! A new evening computer course, with a difference
Wednesdays, 6–8pm; 15th, 22nd, 29th October; 19th, 26th November, 3rd December
Create IT! is a new evening course at Forum28 in Barrow, allowing local people to explore free creative software for their computer.
Each Wednesday you can learn how to manipulate motion, video, sound, illustration, images, internet technologies and office tools, all using “open source” software that you can download for free and use on your computer at home. The course will not just show you how to use your computer, but how to be creative with your computer.
The course is run by local arts organisation “folly” and funded by Barrow Borough Council. The 6-week evening course starts on Wednesday 15th October 2008, running from 6pm-8pm, and costs just £5 a session, or £2.50 concessions.
All you need is a basic grasp of computers and an interest in being creative. All ages welcome from 16 up. The workshops will take place at Forum28 and all equipment will be provided.
Register now BEFORE WEDNESDAY 1st OCTOBER, by phoning 01524 388 550 or visit the folly website to download a booking form.
