Cumbria Filmmakers Network present a new series of monthly Short Film Nights
Following a regular programme of successful events since 2005, Cumbria Filmmakers Network are partnering with the Brewery Arts Centre to bring their popular Short Film Nights to a fantastic new venue, the Warehouse Café at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.
The Short Film Nights will feature a range of shorts from all areas of the UK, mixing locally-made ?lms with those from national contributors. Many of the events are also attended by local and national ?lmmakers, presenting their work and hosting Q&A sessions.
A special launch night on Thursday 6th November, 7:30pm will mark the start of the monthly film nights at The Brewery Arts Centre’s new venue, the Warehouse Café. Tickets are priced at £2 per person and are available at The Brewery Arts Centre Box Office. The film nights will continue to be held on the first Thursday of every month (Excluding January).
The Brewery’s Warehouse Café is a brand new arts café bar and cinema which promises to be the most original venue in town. Shabby chic meets art house meets cool comfort – a meeting place for artists, audiences and anyone who wants somewhere to feel at home, to read, or to share thoughts, ideas and time with friends and colleagues.
With Wi-Fi capability this will be the perfect place to find a private corner to work with great food and coffee available throughout the day.
A meeting place, a retreat, an information exchange and a café by day, the Warehouse will transform into an art house digital cinema and exclusive live performance venue and bar at night. Enjoy film, music or poetry with a glass of wine from the comfort of an old leather sofa – perfect!

About Cumbria Filmmakers Network
Cumbria Filmmakers Network is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2005 by Cumbria-based Jo Hutton, a filmmaker who was frustrated at the lack of a platform for Cumbrian filmmakers to screen their work.
She launched the successful Short Film Nights as a forum for filmmakers to meet and share their work. The evenings have grown steadily and attract a regular audience of filmmakers and film-lovers
alike.
CFN also works with other arts organisations to host training and workshop events, including a series of Pocket Movie-making workshops with folly, an innovative digital arts organisation in
Lancaster.
