High praise from Centrica for visit from Lancaster
David Clark of the multinational outfit, Centrica, recently attended an evening reception held for Lancaster University students who had travelled to Barrow to meet with potential employers. This is what he had to say:
“The FE event with Lancaster University at the Abbey House Hotel could not have come at a better time for us as a business, as it served as a catalyst for us to get into dialogue with the University about our plans. I have since met with Norman Rae and Jonathan Culley at the University CEEC and we are following up a number of streams to direct their engineering/sciences talent to not only Centrica Energy/Hydrocarbon Resources Limited but encompassing the wider Centrica business Graduate schemes. The relationship looks to be blossoming. For example, we are in dialogue about taking some MBA placements.
We would certainly wish to be invited to any further events of this nature that FE support. Please let me know how we can support your endeavours.”
There will be a second ‘On the Bus to Barrow’ event on 21st November 2007. If you would like to meet some outstanding potential recruits, please contact Emma Jones at emma@enterprisenation.com
