Want to take your short film script to the next level?
If so, then Shoreline Films is offering an exciting new opportunity for Cumbrian screenwriters.
Shoreline has 10 places available on a new 4-day Developing Shorts Workshop, taking place over two weekends in October (6th/7th & 20th/21st). Read on for details.
The course is for writers who have developed basic screenwriting skills either through a previous course, at college or through self-tuition. You need to already have a short film script(s) which you’d like to develop to make as good as it possibly can get.
Trainees will go through an intensive note-making, feedback and redrafting process under the guidance of tutor Ludo Smolski (The Script Factory, London Met), who will give professional input and lead group discussion in analysing the technical and character elements of your story.
The aim is for all trainees to reach a stage where they can move forward with confidence to submitting scripts to North West Vision’s regional production schemes and other national short film writing competitions.
Ludo is a development consultant, script editor and reader for a variety of companies in the UK and has been a key member of The Script Factory’s training and development team for six years. Ludo is currently working with award-winning shorts and promo director John Williams (Hibernation) and Sound Films on their first feature project as well as script editing five projects on London Metropolitan University’s Metlab development scheme.
The deadline for applications is Friday 21st September.
To request an application form or if you have any questions please contact Anna on 01229 839983 or email shorelinefilms1@aol.co.uk
Course fees for successful applicants are fully subsidised. Applicants must be aged over 18 and living in Cumbria.
